The main objectives of the proposed project are as follows:

  1. Develop and implement a communication protocol for a large set of sensor types that are currently implemented in surveillance solutions;
  2. Develop an automatic detection system that can analyze and confirm security events in a given area, using PTZ cameras;
  3. Develop, implement and knowledge transfer towards the industrial partner state-of-the-art deep learning methods that can aid in the detection of security events;
  4. Develop an advanced data fusion method that can aggregate data provided by a wide range of sensors connected to the system;
  5. Implement a software system that manages, analyzes and notifies human operators.
